Private School in Sacramento

Private Schools in Sacramento St. John Vianney's

For 60+ years, we at St. John Vianney School have considered ourselves as our community’s home away from home, and we pride ourselves in being a school that truly reflects the diversity of our greater community.  We believe in the academic, social and emotional growth of every child, which is fostered by our committed and experienced teachers.  We try to keep our tuition extremely affordable so that all interested families can access an exemplary private school education right here in Sacramento.

“We are excited to partner with new families who are looking for ways to help their children not only grow academically, but also socially and emotionally, as well as spiritually and take pride that for over 30 years our staff and teachers have had a 100% track record of helping our graduating 8th graders get accepted into their college preparatory high school of choice. We look forward to the new students that will be joining us this upcoming year to continue this tradition” – Amy Hale Principal

If you’re looking at top private schools in Sacramento then we’d love to sit down and show you why St. John Vianney is the perfect choice for your children.

St. John Vianney Catholic School is a top private school in the Sacramento area and offers exemplary education from Transitional Kindergarten (full-day programs for 4 and 5-year olds) through Eighth Grade. With an average class size of 20 students and its commitment to academic excellence, St. John Vianney School is a superior choice when one is considering elementary and middle school options here in the greater Sacramento region.

The school is an educational ministry of St. John Vianney Parish, and was established in 1960. The daily activity at St. John Vianney School is centered around four primary student learning expectations: Pray, Study, Love, and Serve. These expectations reflect the charism of the school’s first principal and teachers who were Dominican Sisters of San Rafael. The students and staff who are on campus today remember and celebrate the heritage of those who learned and served before us. It is what propels each of us to grow in virtue, for when we are open to the grace of God at work in us, we are able to be the best versions of ourselves.

Just as our students work toward mastery of California Common Core State Standards, we too use standards to direct our continual path of reflection, planning, and improvement. Our guided path will allow St. John Vianney School, in collaboration with parents and guardians as the primary educators, seek to educate the whole child by providing an excellent education rooted in Gospel values. Since the founding of the first Catholic school, the United States Catholic Bishops speaking in conference have supported Catholic schools as foundational to the mission of the Church.

Prestigious Schools Like Notre Dame agree, Catholic education still matters and St John Vianneys is among the top Catholic private schools in Sacramento.
